Beetroot seeds – Detroit Globe was introduced nearly a century ago and still one of the favourites for main crop sowing. Deep red flesh, marvellous flavour and stores well. Easy to grow and much more tasty than fresh shop bought beetroot. It should be harvested just at the right time when the size of a tennis ball. The plant itself grows up to 30cm tall and 15cm wide. We recommend successional sowing to produce high yields that will store well.
